Relevant Experience: Mr. Camplong has over 20 years experience in the field of environment, occupational health and safety (EHS). He is the former Manager of Environment, Health & Safety for Indal Limited and Manager Environment and Product Safety for Union Carbide Canada Limited. As manager he assisted over 100 facilities, many of them Tier 1 or 2 automotive suppliers, in the development of management systems. Services to these facilities included evaluations of environmental impacts, training on legislation and corporate policies and programs and development of operating procedures to deal with air and wastewater emissions and waste management. Facility performance was monitored through the development and implementation of management system and legislative compliance audit programs.
Over the last eight years, Mr. Camplong has increasingly focused his activities on ISO 14001. He has conducted training seminars on ISO 14001 auditing and system development, assisted thirteen facilities in the implementation of 14001 systems and conducted environmental legislative compliance audits across Canada. He is a member of the SCC Task Group for Environmental Management Systems Registration Organizations and, as such, is one of five SCC auditors conducting audits of ISO 14001 registrars. Over the last two years Mr. Camplong has evaluated eight EMS audits of automotive suppliers. He has conducted EMS accreditation audits for the Dutch Council for Accreditation and recently joined the ANSI-RAB NAP as a contract Lead Auditor. Craig is also a member of ISO TC176/207 Joint Working Group Subcommittee on Quality and Environmental Auditing involved in the development of the next generation of auditing standards namely ISO 19011.
